During the lecture, they said things as, “Being set in the correct direction” and “Always do like it’s the first time,” which were important compasses for me during my meditation. After my first cycle of meditation I became deeply aware that I lived a life accustomed to taking and accumulating ‘mind pictures’ which was why I lived such a difficult life. I also realized I wasn’t able to escape from that. I did not know that my mind could be discarded, nor did I know that I was living in a picture world. As I practiced this meditation, I was able to completely discard the ‘me’ that had lived in darkness, hardship, and depression. The fact that I was able to feel such changes after meditating was amazing.
